I have a little hometown girl pride in this sweet little venue, Firefly Gardens. I grew up in Midlothian and my childhood home is actually only 10 minutes from this beautiful venue! It’s kind of hard to believe a town with pastures full of cows and horses and a fairly large, and maybe not so talented football team could produce a place like this. Okay, I’m not trying to rag on my home town, but those of you who live in Midlo—you know.
It brings me joy to put my stamp of photographer’s approval on this venue and promote it to brides who might be interested in getting married in a small town 30 minutes south of Dallas.
Disclaimer—no one is paying me to say these things! I care about your wedding images and I know that you do to, so I’m going to point out a couple of the great reasons why this venue is a photographer’s dream, and therefore a killer option for your wedding venue.
1st of all – It’s white. Y’all know how much I love white. This makes for a super clean, simple, non distracting backdrop. When your guests drive up, there’s almost a wow factor to how bright and beautiful the place is.
2nd – The bridal suite is too adorable! I’m kind of a little obsessed with this tufted couch (it perfectly matches my chair in my living room). Also, the light walls make for great images! Just imagine you and your girls all piled up on that couch in your robes for a cute laughing picture.
Next, these windows are a dream. So much natural light which means so many perfectly lit photos of your reception area.
I have a thing with chandeliers – kind of similar to my thing with tufted furniture. I just love them. Super classy and just lovely. These don’t really have a lot to do with your photos – but I just thought you should see how magnificent they are.
This is the back of the Firefly Gardens, which is also quite grand when you first see it. The steps leading down is the isle, which you will see leads into this pergola.
How simple and beautiful is this? All white, with the perfect balance of greenery in the background. I believe our sweet tour guide even told us that the sun sets down and to the right – which means you’re not getting blasted by the sun behind or in front of you during the ceremony. In simple terms – this is great for photos.
Overall, I was so impressed with Firefly Gardens. Jamie has put so much energy into making this place as special as it can be for each bride. I’m so thankful she took the time to show me around the venue! Now you go! She’s as sweet as can be – go see it for yourself.
